Cons: Isn’t Tybo supposed to be life mates and partners with Maribou (spelling)? Why is he randomly single and trying to keep himself entertained with a mortal he knows is not his life mate to begin with? This seemed to be a storyline inconsistency that can happen in long series like this. Alasdair is a quiet and grumpy enforcer who usually lets his chatty twin lead discussions. He doesn’t really like people but with Sophie we see him open up and live again. I really liked Alasdair. He was sweet, protective, and very considerate. Sophie is a smart computer programmer who is working at her foster family's insurance business. She has lost a lot of people in her life and doesn’t let a lot of people in but we see her opening up with Alasdair and gaining a larger family with the Argeneau. These two had an intense relationship filled with the new life mate urges that meant they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Just around the next bend are more fragments of buildings that once created a life for those who dared to live here. The 36th installment of the Argeneau series. Not bad. I enjoyed it like I enjoy all the novels in the series. There’s so much dye in this kit we were able to have a mini tie-dyeing party with our little testers.
