The ABSOLU bottle keeps the iconic shape of Acqua di Giò but reveals its luminous amber-colored fragrance in a clear transparent glass. The patchouli provides the perfect balance between the aquatic fragrance and the woody aromas, creating true masculinity with a sensual twist that is at the heart of the aftershave for him. Wear it few times a week, only need 2 sprays, it is easily my most complimented fragrance and only other cologne to draw that kind of attention was.

This impacts the ability of the fragrance to last and around eighty percent of the oils in an EDT fragrance will evaporate within three hours of application. I instantly recoiled when I smelled it on the paper blotter, but I kept sniffing to try and discern what was so off-putting to me about it. The original is just that, the essenza one is alright, the other flankers are redundant, there’s no need to make anymore.

Since my dad had acqua di gio the original clear bottle, and profumo is way too popular and maybe even discounted. I believe a year or so after initial release they tweaked the formula, and I think this is one of the rare instances where a reform actually improved the fragrance.

I for one am in the side of those who really enjoy this fragrance, I like the fact that it is the 'ugly duckling' of the AdG family to a point where I believe this is the only flanker that is better suited for Spring/Fall rather than Summer. This is one of the only fragrances in my collection that has gotten me compliments from complete strangers!

I want to love it, but I truly dislike the ADG opening; I don't give in to "hype" Fragrances just because they are popular. On first spray, I get hit with lemon, cinnamon, amber wood, and a slightly sweet and synthetic vanilla. If you are a person that cannot tolerate the ADG profile in the opening, I recommend layering it with John Varvatos Vintage, which is a good scent for fall and spring time. And then, it turns face to a patchouli feel mixed with the fresh STANK of seaweed(which I did not mind), and settles to an almost smoky and fairly warm but dark woody scent.

Like his models, Armani cosmetics and perfumes are synonymous with quality, timelessness and success. While still citrus heavy the pear dulls the various citruses, in a good way, and produces an attractive beginning. I reviewed several fragrances from this line as I really respect Acqua Di Gió and I generally think that Alberto Morillas is an amazing person, he owns my true respect.

This could be signature-worthy for someone who wanted to stand out from the crowd but still smell crowd-pleasing. and my husband owns all of them, thanks to me lol) Maybe I’m bias because this is the cologne that my husband wore on our wedding day, but each time he wears it, it just takes me back, and I absolutely adore it!I concluded that you'd only really like this if you like the original AdG and Invictus, but you find AdG too clean and gentlemanly, and Invictus too loud and youthful. I found that Parfum Belcam makes a clone and I have to say it smells very similar to this; especially the citrusy seaweed opening which I love.
