About this deal

Did you know that when you buy National Geographic goodies, you’re helping to look after our world? Tressy I *think* each batch made about 8-9 eggs. It depends of course how big your dinosaurs are and how big the eggs you form are. I didn't have enough, but it was a lot easier to stop at the dollar store or grocery store to buy corn starch instead of heading to the craft store or Home Depot for Plaster of Paris. And it's cheaper too. Supplies for DIY Dinosaur Dig Activity

great idea! will be doing this one – thanks for sharing. Found you via I’m not a trophy wife favourite Friday linky party. Use an inexpensive or disposable bowl to mix the sand and plaster of Paris together. Add water and stir until evenly mixed. Our Year 3 children have loved learning about dinosaurs and the pre-historic world in their Humanities lessons so it was brilliant for them to become palaeontologists for this hands-on workshop. They were given the opportunity to handle the different types of fossils and even uncover a dinosaur skull! 'They particularly loved using the paintbrushes and measuring the skull to find out which dinosaur it belonged to.' Fold a paper box insert on the perforated lines and place inside a clear bag; add paper shreds. I found them at the craft store in the gift-wrapping section. I can’t wait to make these! What a fabulous idea. Should the used coffee grounds be dried out? ThanksIn this fun hands-on workshop, pupils work in groups to identify a range of fossils, perform their own fossil dig and work out what their mystery specimens might be through observation and measuring.

I won’t have time to air dry so 150 degrees for 30 minutes won’t melt the dinosaurs? Or is 20 minutes good enough? That depends on the size of your dinosaurs and eggs so it’s a little variable but I made 4-6 eggs. I usually automatically double my batch. Hi there! love this! tell me is your temperature reading 150 F or 150 C? sorry I am from South AFrica and we use Celsius. Huge thanks for this xxxxx Lots of kids LOVE dinosaurs, and our Cub Scouts are no different. That's what's cool about the Wolf elective adventure, Digging in the Past.
